Angry Pixie Stomp
Music video
Emotion regulation involves recognising, managing and expressing emotions in adaptive ways, and allows children to learn, socialise and engage in daily activities. Supporting children to identify emotions and communicate how they are feeling helps build their resilience and coping skills. AllPlay has partnered with Humphrey B. Bear, a honey-loving bear who, like every kid (and many grown-ups), loves exploring, creating, playing, learning, and giving anything a go, to develop music videos about feeling sad, calm and angry that can help children understand these emotions and recognise them in themselves and others.
“Sometimes I feel angry and I just can’t think!” To support children to recognise when they are feeling angry, and find positive strategies to express and manage their anger, dance along with Humphrey B. Bear in Angry Pixie Stomp. We can use movement and counting techniques to let the anger float away and to feel calmer again.
