Bullying can have significant effects on a child/teen’s wellbeing. Children and teenagers with disabilities are more likely to be bullied at school because they may look or act differently to other young people.
AllPlay Learn’s What is bullying story includes:
- information to support children/teens in defining what bullying is
- evidence-based strategies for how to manage bullying
- common emotional reactions are acknowledged and normalised
- positive coping strategies such as activating social supports, engaging in self-care and challenging cognitive distortions
