About the resource

Graduated guidance is an evidence-based practice that supports the learning of students with intellectual disability or on the autism spectrum. After determining if students possess the necessary skills to complete tasks independently, teachers then select an appropriate prompt to use, and gradually increase or decrease the intensity of supports overtime.
